Description

This medication is used to treat certain types of breast cancer (such as hormone-receptor-positive breast cancer) in women after menopause. Letrozole is also used to help prevent cancer from returning. Some breast cancers are made to grow faster by a natural hormone called estrogen.

How to take Letrozole?

Take this medicine by mouth once a day, with or without meal, or as recommended by your doctor.

The dose is determined by your medical condition and reaction to treatment.

To get the most out of this drug, take it on a daily basis. Take it at the same time every day to help you remember.

Women who are pregnant should not handle this medication or breathe the dust from the pills since it can be absorbed via the skin and lungs. (See also the section on Precautions.)

Notify your doctor straight once if your situation worsens (for example, if you get new breast lumps).

Is Letrozole Your Only Treatment Option?

Clomid has traditionally been administered to patients experiencing ovulation problems. However, despite having 40+ years of clinical usage, Clomid has never been very successful with elderly patients or those who are prone to significant weight gain.
